A Message from our CEO
“Without the unstinting work of religious congregations over the decades, health, education and social services in Ireland would be far removed from what society enjoys today. Sophia is proud of the mission we share with you in supporting the poor, disabled and homeless. We look forward to working with you in reaching out to more
vulnerable people in the future. Without the generous support of religious congregations, Sophia could not continue our current level of support for children, families and vulnerable adults across Ireland”
Sophia is a collaboration of religious and lay people working to support homeless and vulnerable people. It is a national social housing organisation with projects providing long term supported housing throughout Ireland. Sophia was established in 1999 with Sr. Jean Quinn as the founder of behalf of the Daughters of Wisdom. In the last year Jean Quinn DW, Eamonn Martin, Una Coleman and John Duffy have joined the Board of Sophia.
It is a testament to Jean's original vision that fifteen years later Sophia is now supporting hundreds of people across Ireland, including over 150 children. Our holistic model of care works. People get a second chance at life.
Sophia is proud of the mission we share with you in supporting the poor, disabled and homeless.
