The Cork Street project consists of 50 apartments, one, two
and three bedrooms, for families, couples and single people. Amongst these apartments are three adapted units for people with physical disabilities. Each apartment is self contained but there are also communal spaces where the tenants can socialise. The Cork Street project provides long term
The team consists of a project leader, support workers and
care workers. Support staff are present Monday to Friday from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each tenant has a keyworker and a holistic care plan is done for all tenants. Practical support is also offered in a range of areas such as home management, budgeting, shopping and cooking.
Group work is run on a weekly basis. Current groups running are bingo, gardening and cooking. There is an on-site nurturing centre for the children which provides a pre-school service as well as an after school service. There is also a coffee shop on site where the single tenants can avail of meals on a daily basis.
