Leaving Prison

People leaving prison who are identified as particularly vulnerable with little or no family or other support networks and at risk of homelessness can be referred to Sophia where short term accommodation can be provided subject to availability
and funding.

They also receive support to manage their finances, cooking skills, learn to manage their tenancy, register for and pay household bills, put together a deposit, manage relationships, understand how their behavior impacts on neighbours and how to sustain their tenancy. They are linked to Employment Services, Health, MABs, Local Authority, addiction and Children and Family agencies services as needed.
