Celebrating 20 Years of Sophia 

2017 is an important milestone for Sophia as we celebrate 20 years of providing homes and supporting people across Ireland.

Over the past 2 decades Sophia has been quietly supporting people as they emerge from homelessness. Responding to the ever growing need in Ireland Sophia now directly houses 259 adults and 169 children with another 108 people supported in outreach programmes.

Say #IWill for Sophia: Consider leaving an ever-lasting gift to Sophia in your will. Best Will in the World Week takes place from Monday, 20th October until Friday, 24th October, and Sophia Housing is asking that anyone thinking about gifting from their will to charity, to consider leaving a bequest to Sophia. We are delighted to confirm that Hilton in the Community Foundation have chosen Sophia Housing as one of their Irish Charity Partners for 2014. Hilton in the Community Foundation have agreed to fund the creation of a safe, warm and welcoming playroom at our project at Camberley House, Churchtown, Dublin. Keith Dawson, Project Worker at Camberley House says, "Sophia provides short term emergency accommodation for families referred on to us by Dun Laoghaire Rathdowne County Council. We are delighted to announce that Abbvie (Liffey Valley) have chosen Sophia Housing as their charity partner for 2014 / 2015. Abbvie will be a key sponsor for the development of a communal area at our soon to be opened Sean McDermott Street project (pictured). The project when open will provide 18 self-contained units of accommodation that will be provided to people on Dublin City Councils housing waiting list.The communal open space on the ground floor offers massive potential to provide additional services to residents and the broader community.  One of the many initiatives planned for ...

This Autumn 2014, Sophia is hosting a trek along the Via Francigena in Italy. And we're delighted to announce that we will be joined by Teena Gates: author, blogger and adventurer!
